Wider Plan’s Silver Status Award as a Community Benefits Supplier for Glasgow City Council

We are pleased to announce that we have been awarded with a Silver status award on Glasgow City Council’s Community Benefits Supplier Recognition Page. This means that we have delivered 100% of our proposed Community Benefit outcomes.

As an ethical company we donate at least 5% of our profits to UK charities and have made significant contributions to Action for Children, World Vision, Caring Hands, Race for Life and school projects, as well as the Worcestershire Wildlife Trust in the community that we are based.

Our charitable foundation, Wider Community, has been built on strong ethical values and we are proud to have been recognised by Glasgow City Council for this. We regularly welcome our Clients and their employees to suggest local charities in their area for matched donations including £1,000 to FareShare in Glasgow; a not-for-profit organisation helping to feed the area with surplus items from the food industry.

As part of our passion to make a tangible difference to everyone’s working life we offer:

  • Matched donations
  • Supporting volunteering
  • Community schemes
  • Supporting hardship grants

By promoting charitable activity in the workplace we aim to improve staff morale, team building and personal satisfaction. We can also support you in your journey on recognising the commercial benefits of corporate social responsibility, to make a sustainable difference in your area and to the world around you.
